Big Sea ship repair and diving service joint stock company is a trusted ship repair company in Vietnam which is one of leading companies to provide all services for Ship repair and Marine services.

This project is the Hull repair for Container vessel at Tan Vu port, Hai Phong, Vietnam to start in late December, early January.

On December 28, 2024, we received information from the owner of a ship that had been struck on its starboard side by a barge after loading cargo at Tan Vu Port. Upon receiving the notification, we immediately mobilized our team of engineers to the ship's anchorage to commence repairs.

Before assessing the extent of the ship's damage, we will conduct a safety meeting.

After completing the safety meeting, the engineering team of BIG SEA JSC conducted a detailed inspection of each damaged area to assess the extent of the impact and determine the appropriate repair plan

The shipowner has formally requested that our team carry out an inspection, identification, and removal of the entire damaged plating area

Our team will install new replacement parts, ensuring that these areas are restored and meet the required technical and safety standards

All workers of BIG SEA JSC did not hesitate to work overtime until late at night to ensure that the project was completed on time. Their work ethic demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and their utmost efforts to meet the strict requirements of customers, as well as maintain the company's reputation in each project.

The cutting is performed with precision to ensure clean, neat edges, facilitating the subsequent welding and installation processes. This crucial step in the repair process plays a key role in restoring the safety and durability of the ship's structure

After completing the joints and herringbone sections, BIG SEA workers will verify the tightness of the metal surface. This step is crucial in ensuring technical quality control.

Finally, we repaint the entire repaired area to safeguard the hull from environmental factors, particularly corrosion caused by seawater. This repainting not only enhances the ship's appearance but also plays a vital role in preserving the performance and longevity of the ship's structure throughout its operation. At every step of the repair process, we adhered to the highest standards of quality and precision to ensure the ship would operate safely and efficiently. In addition, strict safety measures were implemented throughout the process to protect workers and maintain a secure working environment. As a result, the ship's structure was successfully restored as expected, meeting technical standards and ready to perform effectively under real-world operating conditions.
