On 24th Dec. 2024, after receiving requirement from Ship Owner, Big Sea Ship Repair And Diving Service Joint Stock Company mobilized diving team and prepared all necessary equipment to started coming to Ha Long Anchorage– Quang Ninh Province to carry out underwater inspection for hull overall of vessel.

SHIP SURVEY DIVING – SAFETY FIRST

Ship survey diving is a task that demands precision, professionalism, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Here are the key steps the team takes to ensure maximum efficiency and safety:

• Pre-Dive Safety Meeting
  Before starting the operation, the team conducts a safety meeting with the ship’s captain and crew. This meeting details the survey plan, weather conditions, water currents, and other environmental factors. Potential risks are thoroughly analyzed, and everyone is briefed on emergency procedures to ensure complete readiness.

• Meticulous Equipment Preparation
  All diving equipment, including oxygen tanks, depth gauges, underwater cameras, and communication devices, undergoes rigorous checks. The team ensures that all equipment is in perfect working order with no damage or missing components. Backup gear is also prepared to address any unexpected situations.

• Diver Readiness Check
  Each diver is assessed for health, skill, and readiness before entering the water. Roles are clearly assigned, such as videographer, measurement recorder, or surface communication operator, to streamline the operation.

• Conducting the Survey Dive
  Once all preparations are complete, the dive team executes the survey as planned. Every section of the ship’s hull, propellers, and exterior is thoroughly inspected to detect damages, marine growth, or technical issues.
